Easter Ski
With the new ski season now not so far away, many of us will be thinking about booking our first, and then our second week which for many is the Easter ski holidays in April. With Easter being late this year, the need to go high is in our opinion one of the most important criteria and resorts in Chamonix, Espace Killy, Three Valleys, Verbier, and Zermatt are particularly well suited for let skiing and Chamonix last year boasted 50cm of powder and nearly 4m of snow up until late April.

Family Ski Resorts
Not many people associate Chamonix as a great destination for families, with its macho high altitude, off-piste reputation, but at one end of the valley it offers one of the best family friendly ski resorts in the name of Les Houches. A beautiful tree lined skiing lower down and higher up a sunny plateau, the skiing is great with confidence building blues and reds and the ESF Ski School is just great with the children. Next time your looking for a great family ski resort, you therefore might want to give it a try.

Family Chalets
Many of the Easter ski visitors are family ski groups looking for a great family chalet and therefore the new site that is soon to launch called Family Chalets is likely to be a welcome addition. The operators have committed to only provided great family chalets and this by their words will mean chalets that really are focused on family skiing holidays and have both staff and facilities geared to support and ensure visitors have a very special family ski break.

Ski In Ski Out
If you are looking for a great Easter ski holiday, our recommendation is pick a high altitude ski in ski out chalet for the ultimate convenience ski holiday. Rather than messing around spending half your time getting to, and then getting back to the slopes, put on your skis outside the chalet, and simply ski! At the end of the day, of course just ski back! But when booking a ski in ski out holiday, choose an expert who really does only sell true ski in ski out chalets, rather than operators claiming they are, providing you bring your chainsaw to help with skiing through the trees.

A Great Easter Ski Holiday
What a fantastic Easter Ski holiday for family skiers the last two weeks. Plenty of sunshine and lots of snow provided some of best family ski conditions of the season, possibly outshining even the half term ski week which also for families brought fresh snow and generally good sunshine.
Whilst this week is a lot quieter, the ski guest out this week are still in for some great skiing with light snow showers forecast for most of the week giving a sprinkling of snow at all levels, including the lower slopes.

Easter Ski Deals
Many people are often surprised to find that whilst you will find some last minute Easter ski deals, the operators that are offering such deals are very much the bottom en operators, or those that have priced themselves uncompetitively.
The easter ski week has year on year become more and more popular, and whilst not at ski half term holiday levels, it is fast becoming one of the most popular family ski weeks, possibly surpassing the Christmas ski week.
Therefore we would issue a slight warning regarding the bargain hunters looking for the Easter ski deal. Yes there may be one or two, but the latin phrase Caveat Emptor might be useful here (let the buyer beware), as those that are offering Easter ski deals might just have been overpriced in the first place, or something no one else wanted or more importantly, would want!

Easter Skiing
This week sees the start of the Easter ski holidays and already there is an increase in the families enjoying the spring holiday Easter ski break. At the moment the slopes are still relatively quiet considering the number of schools who have broke up for the Easter holidays. This weekend typically brings with it a further influx with French, Swiss, and Austrian skiers taking to the slopes to make use of the Europe wide national holidays.
In terms of the weather, after heavy snowfall, the slopes have just been returned to bright sunshine so those that have got away for a family ski with the family will have been well rewarded with great snow and warm weather today. This said, the weather forecast is for more snow late Tuesday, Wednesday all day, and also Thursday morning so if you haven't booked an Easter ski weekend, you might want to check what is available.
For family chalets, sadly most will have been booked but they may still be one or two around.
